LIFE'S MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION

by Elder John R. Blalock

Sometimes the evangelist is criticised for preaching so hard on the wickedness of people, the sureness of judgement and a hell ahead; yet how can he, if he truly believes the Bible, keep from emphasizing these most important things in life?

It matters little, whether your boy or girl goes to college; whether they make a great success in business or profession; or whether their health is good or bad.   Health is sure to break by and by anyway, and death is always ahead.   Even all those things we naturally hold so dear are but temporary.   They cannot last.   None of the wealth, the possessions you have here, can go with you to your eternal abode.    Only your children, can you take with you; as you may lead them.   You may lead them to heaven, or you may lead them to hell.

I hope that you will understand, then, that the man of God, who is concerned about your soul's salvation, is concerned about the greatest things in life.

"WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?" is life's most important question, and the answer is simply this:   "BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED." --Acts 16:31.

CRYSTAL SPRINGS BIBLE CAMP

The last I have heard from Cathy Jones, of Missionary Baptist Church of Prineville, Oregon, it was still a question whether we would have camp this year.    I am asking everyone to be in prayer for Crystal Springs Bible Camp, a ministry of Missionary Baptist Church of Prineville.   We really need this camp.   Over the last fifty years, many of our young people have found the Lord there and many have found their life's mate there.   These are both important reasons for the camp. God has blessed the camp in the past and Satan is attacking it now.   Please pray for the camp.   For the latest camp updates click here.

A NEW FEATURE ON THE BAPTIST LANDMARKS WEB SITE
There is a new page on the Baptist Landmarks web site the purpose of which is three fold.   One, to promote church web sites.    Two, to promote missionaries and their web sites if they have them.   Three, it has a Google bar and can serve as a home page for anyone who would like to have a more Baptist experience on the internet.   The name of the page is "Baptist Billboard" and to visit the page just click here.
