Would I live tomorrow,
     Different from today
If I should walk with Jesus
     Each step along the way?
If the mind of Christ were in me
     And His will my one desire,
Would my hopes be what they are today,
     Or placed on something higher?
Would I talk about salvation;
     Would I tell about my Lord,
More tomorrow than I did today,
     If I obeyed His Word?
Would I speak His name more oftin
     As I raised my heart in prayer;
Or, if my voice were heard in heaven,
     Would it be a stranger there?

If the Lord were my companion
     would I change the way I speak?
Would I take Him where I went today?
     Would He like the things I seek?
Would I change some word of anger,
     Squelch some idle thought,
Forsake some sinful pleasure
     And do more things that I ought?

Forgive me where I've failed you Lord,
     So far along the way,
And help me live tomorrow,
     Like I should have lived today!
